A rare and exceptionally beautiful Dior by John Galliano skirt from Fall 2001, featuring the iconic Miss Diorella print.
Cut from ultra-soft finished goat leather, the skirt is printed and painted in Dior’s distinctive Miss Diorella motif. The leather itself has a subtle metallic/shimmering finish that can appear almost wet-looking under direct sunlight or flash photography, giving the piece an extraordinary depth and luminosity.
The design is quintessential Galliano: deconstructed, architectural and transformable. A long zipper wraps around the waistline and can be opened to alter the construction of the skirt — allowing the lower panel to be repositioned and worn symmetrically or asymmetrically. The result is a skirt whose silhouette can be customized depending on how the zipper is styled.
The design was first seen in Dior’s Spring 2001 runway collection, and was subsequently produced in the signature Miss Diorella print for Fall 2001. A matching Miss Diorella bustier is also available separately.

Condition: Very good vintage condition. The leather shows signs of age and wear, but these blend remarkably well into the painted/printed surface and are difficult to distinguish from the intentional pattern. The skirt has been professionally dry cleaned; we have deliberately not subjected it to aggressive cleaning, as doing so could compromise or discolor the original print. No tears or major stains.
