Dior by John Galliano Fall 2003 red leather skirt, cut in a sleek, fitted silhouette with a striking array of utility-inspired details. Crafted in glossy, supple leather with a luminous finish — notably not patent leather — the skirt features oversized functional patch pockets, multiple silver-tone rivets and hardware, vertical zip details, and adjustable leather straps with buckles cascading from the sides, reminiscent of garter-belt construction.
The style is documented in an editorial from the collection, while similar utility-inspired silhouettes were also seen on the Fall 2003 runway.
The skirt can be worn high-waisted or lower at the mid-waist, depending on preference. The functional pockets are lined in suede leather, adding to the luxurious construction.
