Available exclusively at QV Archive, one-of-a-kind marvelous ensemble straight from the runway of Pierre Balmain Fall 1998 Haute Couture collection, designed by Oscar de la Renta, Look 47. The ensemble consists of a silk dress-coat with a closure on a hidden zipper and impeccable high waist silk trousers with genuine mink fur trim at the bottoms. The coat is decorated with gorgeous shimmery Chantilly Lace. The pants also have convenient pockets and a hidden zipper, draped in a tulip shape with a voluptuous hip silhouette. In muted pastel colors, this ensemble will make a brilliant bridal look or a red-carpet outfit, but will also become a treasured possession of any Couture collector. For more accurate color representation, please refer to the photos on our model Amanda. The coat is a light shade of grey/sepia with contrasting blush pink inside and blush pink trousers with grey/sepia mink trim, very delicate and light. The coat has a comfortable length of a train. Runway sample, hence sample size, we recommend to rely strictly on the measurements as there is no size label. Coat: Shoulder seam to seam - 38 cm (15 in) Armpit to armpit - 43 cm (17 in) Waist - 34 cm (13,4 in) Length in the front - 156 cm (61,4 in) Length in the back (with a train) - 182 cm (71,6 in) Trousers: Waist - 31 cm (12,2 in) Back rise - 35 cm (13,8 in) Hips - 51 cm (20 in) Inseam length - 82 cm (32,3 in) Very good vintage condition with light nuances all over but nothing too obvious or detectable upon wear: a 1 mm spot on the front of the trousers (see photo), some minor pulled threads on the bottom of the skirt (see photo), some minor dusting on the inside of the hem of the skirt from the runway, but doesn't require cleaning as it's not visible, tiny wear on the hidden zipper. No obvious stains or tears.
